    • Synopsis
    • NYC 2001. Kaltrina is a nurse who returns to her flat after a long shift at the hospital. Only her fish waits for her. Still in her uniform, Kaltrina goes to feed her fish, when she realises that someone is hiding in her bathroom. Kaltrina uses her pepper spray and manages to lock Roger, a man she never met before, in her sitting room, behind a glass door. Roger in agony shows her a series of pictures through the glass door-- the picture remind Kaltrina of her past working life in a hospital in Pristina, where Serbian captives were kept during the Kosovo war. The man claims that he received the heart of a captive that Kaltrina held close to her heart, Emil, and that it was the transplant that led Roger to Kaltrina. Kaltrina faces a dilemma when Roger collapses having a heart attack and she observes him dying through the glass. Should she let Roger die and leave Emil's story unresolved in the blurry past of the war? Or should she save Roger and, with him, save Emil's heart that still seems to contain his memories?
