- Synopsis
- The earthquake in San Juan city in January 1944 started the love story of Juan Domingo Peron and Eva Duarte.
  He, an army colonel. She, a rising actress on the radio.
  The film relates the construction of a relationship , in the context of giddy events, since January 1944 until October 1945, when they formaly became a couple.
  Eva collaborates with other artists for the collection organized by Peron, from the Ministry of Labour, to raise funds for earthquake victims.
  Neither he nor she know then all that future holds for them.
  The film focuses on the privacy of these two characters. It's not a film about Peronism but about historical framework as part of this relationship, that borns amid an intense political climate, full of complexities and contradictions.
  How the public world influences their intimacy. And how the privacy of Juan and Eva influence the events that led to October 17, 1945.
  Both must overcome several obstacles to strengthening that relationship. The army despises Peron relationship with a radio actress, while she begins to focus on the Buenos Aires aristocracy hating Perón and his ideas of the working class.
  Eva slowly understands what is Peron’s strategy and she starts a journey, with only 23 years, during those months. Her own contradictions also come into play. Still not the "Evita" known by history, she’s a very young actress who does not understand the whole politics or the military universe, and who’s willing to take a place in a man’s life, 26 years older.
  He's still not The General Peron and discovers in that woman a charm who surprises him when he did not expect to fall in love again after the death of his first wife. Other women’s ghosts, the labor union universe, the army and the radio world dramatically intertwine in recent months. In that year and a half, they still don’t know, but they're about to solve and found the most significant love story of Argentina's history.
