- Synopsis
- John the Apostle is based on the life of the youngest apostles and the most loved by Jesus. His life is played by Mane de La Parra who is accompanied by Livia Brito playing María de Nazaret, while Marjorie de Souza gives life to María Magdalena. The film was shot in the beautiful landscapes of Almería, in the Alcazaba and Vélez Blanco castles as well as in the Roman theater in Cartagena, with impeccable costumes specially made for the film and one of the best Latin casts.
  The film begins with the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth where John was the only Apostle who witnessed the crucifixion accompanying Mary. After the death of Jesus the apostles spread around the world to preach the word of God, John chose Asia Minor (Ephesus) and there he wrote the Apocalypse and the Gospel according to Saint John considered by the Catholic Church the most genuine of all.
