- Synopsis
- John Landsburg (Voight) is an old-fashioned conservative cowboy who owns a large ranch in a small southern Texas town. He is the patriarch of a large family that all take shelter on his land. But when John’s longtime adversary Tap Peterson (Caan) stakes a claim for his land, John enlists his former girlfriend (Griffith) and his strong- willed daughter (Polo), and together they embark upon an epic battle against the outside forces and federal bureaucracy, in order to maintain possession of his treasured ranch and to keep his family together.
