    • Synopsis
    • After King Herod of Judea orders to kill all the boys under the age of two around Bethlehem where the future King of the Jews is just born according to an ancient Jewish prophecy, Joseph, Mary and her cousin Salome flee with newborn Jesus to Egypt. They meet on their trip throughout Egypt Damon, a guide, Ezekhiah, a land owner, and Simon, a Jewish merchant, who see in Jesus the Messiah, and help the Holy Family to escape the Roman army led by Docithious and the Jewish troops sent by Herod. But the greatest help will come from Jesus who, through his miracles, will reinforce their faith in him and turn his witnesses, including Docithious, into his first followers. When the news of Herod’s death reaches them in a dream, the Holy Family finally returns to Judea after having sowed the first seeds of Christianity in Egypt where the places of his miracles will become pilgrimage sites.
