    • Synopsis
    • The story takes place in the Middle East in the present day. It is the story of Obayd, son and assistant of Abu, a powerful and resourceful local warlord. The story begins on the day Abu has been elected member of the new national parliament. In the same day Obayd’s mother has died.
Obayd captures his father, imprisons him in a basket and takes him on a journey to their home village, where the mother asked to be buried.
During the journey the family is back together after a long time: the dead mother, the pregnant sister, the father imprisoned in a basket and Obayd driving during the night. They experience their attachment to each other made of love and revenge, of rebellion and respect. A mixture which will teach them something new and lead them to final decisions.
The funeral of the mother, up in the mountains, in the snow, in the early morning will put an end to a story which started many years before.
