- Synopsis
- J.Sisters tells the story about seven Brazilian sisters from a small town in the countryside of Brazil. The sisters moved to New York in the 80’s, without having ever been out of their hometown before, almost without any money or English, just with the ambition of living without the financial help of their father.
  The feature film will focus mainly in two of them: Jocely, the first one to move to USA who set off the hardworking path to success and Jonice, the youngest, who was just a girl when her sister went to New York.
  Filled with energy and will, Jocely, after making many mistakes and going through many difficulties, thrives in the beauty salons’ business and begins to help her sisters to move to New York.
  While the fame of the J Sisters started to spread among American women, one of them introduces a waxing technique called Brazilian Bikini Wax. This technique makes J Sisters even more renowned and successful, attracting the most famous artists and celebrities of USA to their saloon.
  The Brazilian Bikini Wax becomes a phenomenon that every American women wishes for and the sisters manages to accomplish their dream of becoming successful entrepreneurs using their creativity while still sticking their family together.
  J Sisters is a movie that brings up important current subjects such as women empowerment, entrepreneurship, immigration, sisterhood and family, allowing the audience to create sympathy with these matters and the characters.
