- "They’re not". This is Iris’s answer to the doctor that just asked her how things are going with her husband. The words slipped from her mouth like a brutal realization: how long has it been since she last made love? Yet everything is going well with her life: Iris has a husband who seems flawless, two wonderful daughters, a dental practice where patients keep flowing, a beautiful apartment in a neighborhood she adores, the best friends she could find… and soon 50 years old. It is a stranger who whispers to her the idea: "Take a lover". Iris opens Pandora's box and immediately men appear - as if it were raining.
