    • Synopsis
    • The year is 1951 and war is escalating in Korea. Thousands of young men are shipping off to fight, but luckily a college acceptance allows Marcus Messner
(Lerman), the idealistic son of a kosher butcher from New Jersey, to avoid
      the draft.

Despite his father’s anxiety, Marcus leaves home for a conservative Midwestern university. Here he finds himself at odds with the administration and his fellow students, and falls for a troubled girl named Olivia Hutton
      (Gadon), who awakens his passions.

Though Marcus doesn’t yet know it, he’s about to learn that his father’s worst fears may well have been justified, and war may no longer feel so distant.

Schamus is one of the world’s most accomplished and decorated producers and screenwriters, including
Academy Award® nominations for Brokeback Mountain, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. His Indignation is timely, powerful and poignant, and promises to move audiences across the world.
