    • Synopsis
    • Theo Abrams is an ex-Cape Town fireman suffering from severe Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder. Despite his attempts to fix his condition through psychotherapy, one morning he wakes up in hospital learning that he has murdered his wife and survived shooting himself in the head. With no obvious recollection of the event, Theo ends up pleading guilty to her murder charge despite the protests of his criminal lawyer, Moses Tswete, who argues that his mental capacity is fractured through his PTSD. He is sentenced to 25 years in prison. 8 years later, a presidential pardon due to overcrowded prisons sees Theo on early parole. Although much has changed, Moses and Theo stumble upon a conspiracy theory when they discover similar case profiles of people who have committed murders with ‘no recollection’ of the event. In each case, the victim had a link to high-ranking government officials, including Theo’s wife. Believing that he may have been framed somehow, Theo begins to dig into his wife’s mysterious past in order to find a possible connection to her real killer. However, as their investigation gains traction, Theo and Moses receive unwanted attention from shady government officials who dispatch henchmen to silence them. On the brink of a breakthrough, Theo is framed for Moses’s death, orchestrated by the henchmen, and finds himself not only being hunted by unstoppable faceless foes for a reason he can’t comprehend, but by a police chief hell bent on bringing him to justice. Theo must race against time to figure out his wife’s complicated past, piece together and expose a devastating truth, before he too is murdered. Confronting old family members who want nothing to do with him and a tragic past that continues to haunt him, what Theo eventually discovers will forever change his life and the perception of security in a nation...
