    • Synopsis
    • When an 80 year old intellectual is confronted with issues of old age and death, she reminisces the death of her mother that happened 30 years earlier. While talking about these issues, in a poetic manner, "In Three Acts" mixes a contemporary dance choreography, performed by Angel Viana (an 85 year old ballerina) and Maria Alice Poppe (a young ballerina at her prime), and dialogue inspired by Simone de Beauvoir’s writings about old age and death. The project intends to reveal the reality of an old body, and deals with the difference between the experience of losing someone to death and the fear of dying. “ In three acts” is a film about the cycle of life.
