- Synopsis
- Khanh and Lua live a happy life as a loving couple but have no baby because of Khanh's sterility. At the risk of alienating her husband and sacrificing their relationship, Lua’s love for her husband and desire for him to become a father drive her to conceive a child with another man living in the same village. Linh is an aggressive and violent man whose wife has left him, taking their children.
  Khanh gives all of his love to his new son while his wife is enduring the contempt of the village people. The situation reaches boiling point as Linh appears to claim guardianship over the baby. Khanh, however, loves his wife more because of her lofty sacrifice. On the other hand, Linh also feels wretched. Using every evil artifice, Linh forced Lua to give him the baby, motivated not by love for his little son but by jealousy toward the couple's happiness, which he has lost himself.
