- Synopsis
- Mohammad Ehsai, Aydin Aghdashloo, and Abbas Kiarostami are three Iranian artists with global recognition who studied painting together at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran.
  To commemorate the 70th birthday of these three artists in 2010, I made a documentary titled "In Praise of 70," which was showcased that same year alongside an exhibition of their works at the House of Artists in Iran.I was planning to make "In Praise of 80 Years" ten years later, but the death of Abbas Kiarostami and the epidemic of Corona disease made the project impossible.
  In 2023, we began the documentary "In Praise of Life," featuring conversations with Mohammad Ehsai and Aydin Aghdashloo, along with remaining footage from interviews with Abbas Kiarostami and excerpts from his films. Listening to the thoughts of these three artists on the passage of time from childhood to now, fate, culture and art, tradition and modernity side by side is truly captivating. This documentary offers a glimpse into the thinking of contemporary Iranian artists.
