    • Synopsis
    • The imaginary voice of a being that is being born to this world accompanies us on the journey to that stage of life which we do not remember. Elements and landscapes of nature dialogue with the landscapes of the body and its traces. We immerse ourselves in a sensory world of images and sounds that bring us closer to the experiences of a newborn. What does it mean to be thrown into a world of noise, brightness and cold lights? How does it feel when the umbilical cord is cut immediately? To be roughly separated from a hot body for medical tests? Or to cry alone in a room, without anyone answering your call?

Science has insisted for decades on the importance of taking care of those first years for a healthy development of the human being. But how do you put this into practice? In San Sebastian (Spain), families from the surroundings flock to the Hazi Hezi center. The narrating mother was also there with her daughter. There, for 30 years, a group of professionals has accompanied groups of pregnant women and parents during the raising of their children in their early years. Excited and convinced that they are doing good to the society of the future, they strive for an upbringing that is respectful of the rhythms and development of babies, which often clashes with the rhythm and demands of today's society.

In an associative dialogue with the voice of the newborn, voices of experts from various disciplines help us to investigate, like detectives who study the traces of early childhood. Participants are Michel Odent, obstetrician and researcher, Ibone Olza, perinatal psychiatrist and activist for early childhood rights, Laura Gutman, therapist and author, psychiatrist and researcher Rafael Benito, and psychologist José Luis Gonzalo.

At the same time, this quest will give the narrating mother the impulse to investigate her own story. All the voices we meet on this journey are interwoven with the narrating voices of mother and child. Questions that do not have a single answer will arise, inviting us to reflect on the adults of the future.
