Ricardo Alvarez, honest Mexican border cop, finds himself the target of hit by his own people because he is too effective at stopping "narcos" and their "mules". He foils the hit, and he gives chase into the US, the drug runners, his crooked partner and Ricardo are all pulled up into an alien craft.
