- Synopsis
- After years of living in the city, Brayan (20) returns to his afrodescendant hometown with the idea of emigrating through the nearby border. But first he must prepare to participate by playing an old family drum to honor his late father's soul in an upcoming religious procession. As he reintegrates in the village’s dynamics and reunites with his mother and grandfather, Brayan feels alienated from what once was his safe place, and feels how a wound he thought forgotten now reopens inside himself. When he hears about the ruins of an abandoned colonial temple in the jungle, the place where his father was found dead, Brayan sets out in search of long-awaited answers.
