Founded in 1877 in Switzerland by Pastor Louis-Lucien Rochat in response to the alcoholism problems of many of his followers, the Blue Cross quickly became known beyond the borders of Switzerland. In French Polynesia, where religion is very present, Blue Cross has become a real institution, known to all. Every year, dozens of people "sign" in front of a pastor or a priest to break with their addictions to alcohol, drugs, tobacco and even gambling. And the results are visible. Because this commitment to God gives these believers the strength to stop. This documentary invites you to follow the personal journey of one of these "signatories". But it also features many speakers: churchmen, addictologists, psychiatrists and magistrates who bring their insights on the reasons why, in French Polynesia, the Blue Cross contributes greatly to the fight against addictions.
