    • Synopsis
    • With only five months left to live, and paralyzed from the neck down by Motor Neurone Disease, 34-year-old Neil Platt plans his own funeral, muses about the meaning of life ? and the impossibility of terminating a mobile phone contract. And he ponders how to communicate about his life in a letter for his baby son, Oscar. How can Neil anticipate what Oscar might want to know about his father in a future he will not be part of but can only begin to imagine? While he still has the ability to speak, Neil puts together a letter and memory box for Oscar and tries to tell a story about his life from his memories and impressions of love, friends, motorbike rides...
Motor Neurone Disease is one of the last incurable diseases; a hereditary illness which also killed Neil's father and grandfather. But Neil's incredible humour and honesty in facing his condition made him determined to share this last stage of his life through a blog which touched many people. This forms the narrative of the film, using Neil's own perspective on his situation, mixing archive, documentary and written text to tell this incredibly intimate and moving story about the thin space between life and death.
