    • In crisis-stricken Caracas two former schoolmates in their twenties are brought together by their moral and existential doubts in a country suffocated by economic decline and growing anarchy.

Roberto, a rigid idealist, works for the ministry of transportation in the construction of the metro and lives with his unemployed mother. Though he struggles to make ends meet and the ministry's projects are not moving forward, he pledges to never desert his homeland and looks down upon his best friend who abandons the country.

Selina, a careless expatriate brat living in Italy, works illegally as a food delivery driver while struggling to get a working permit. Desperate to remain abroad and never return to Venezuela, she considers marrying for papers if her plan to get a visa sponsorship fails – a situation she hides from her affluent family back in Venezuela.

When Roberto's boss offers him what seems a tremendous job opportunity abroad and Selina's family discovers her lies during her Christmas vacation in Venezuela, they both face a difficult question: will they stay in Venezuela to rebuild their homeland or will they face the uncertainties of an
      immigrant life abroad?
