    • Synopsis
    • At war for decades, two villages in Sri Lanka – one Tamil, one Sinhala - find themselves in a desperate situation with a new curse. Both of the villages have become infertile. Even after resorting to different solutions, no child is born. One day, both villages receive a message from the gods offering a glimmer of hope. A Sinhala man and a Tamil woman are to be sent to an isolated place where they will find the secret to renew life. But only one of them will come back alive. So one morning they leave behind everything they have known, and board a tiny boat on the seat, to the Forest of the Dead, accompanied by a foreign doctor. Surrounded by the mysteries and the secrets of the forest, they are forced to confront the hidden stories of their villages and their personal pasts. What will their future hold?
