- Synopsis
- A free adaptation of the Quijote. The essence of the film lies in the recreation of a moral atmosphere, independent from any notion of dramatic progression; a stylised performance by the actors which avoids a psychological approach; and a symbolic meaning of the seeming unimportance of everyday life. "Quixotix" aims to develop a new approach to historical film-making. It seeks to connect with different ways of understanding cinema, to be the direct heir of the experimental paths taken by 60's directors, those that masters such as Ozu, Buñuel, Bresson or Menville followed. This project is dedicated to all of them. "Our artistic work strives to be an example of the absolute engagement they had with cinematic art, because this art guides our work and indeed our lives" (Albert Serra).
