    • Synopsis
    • Frankfurt, 1937. The Hindenburg, the largest airship in the world, is much more than a vehicle. To the Nazis, it's a spectacular display of Third Reich engineering. To U.S. industrialist van Zandt, it's a chance to save his company and sell great quantities of helium to the Germans. And to engineer Merten Kröger, the airship that he helped to design has become a nightmare: having learned that there is a bomb on the U.S. flight of May 6th 1937, he desperately tries to find it, but also has to elude the crew members who think he is a murderer and are trying to catch him. He is aided by the woman he loves, van Zandt's daughter Jennifer. But neither Merten nor Jennifer suspect how deeply van Zandt himself is involved in this intrigue. As a frantic, race-against-time search for the explosives unfolds, the majestic airship calmly glides towards America – and towards its fate.
