- Synopsis
- After a third suicide attempt Danielle (Isabelle Huppert) is placed under psychiatric observation in a private clinic. Her daughter Sophie (Melanie Laurent), with whom she has never been able to build a relationship, haunts the very fibre of Danielle's dreams and waking hours. The self-imposed confines of this closed and sterile world, in which there are no reactions, needs or possibility of a future, serve as the only defence against Danielle's traumatic visions. Her psychiatrist (Greta Scacchi), is not ready to give up on her and convinces the mute Danielle to record her thoughts...
