    • In the 1920s, the Chinese Communist Party begins its struggle in Shanghai, leading its covert Special Branch into a deadly battle against various forces.

      After the War of Resistance against Japan breaks out, the Special Branch circles between Chongqing, President Wang’s puppet government and Japanese espionage agencies. Through an intricate system of intelligence, they recruit the enemy as spies, obtain information, kill traitors and establish a broad, united front line, charging towards Yan 'an in defence of their country.
