- Synopsis
- JOE, a well-liked waiter at a local restaurant, is having a difficult time making ends meet to support himself and his beloved grandmother, LOLA AMOR, who is already demonstrating signs of dementia. After she gets hit by a car, Joe rushes her to the hospital. Due to a sudden twist of fate, he becomes an accidental hostage-taker when the hospital director refuses to treat his grandmother due to his inability to pay for the treatment.
  
  Lola Amor, a former bit player who loves movies thinks that the hostage-taking is a movie shoot. To protect her, Joe plays along as she slips in and out between the real and the unreal. As Lola Amor navigates between life and death, Joe is forced to negotiate with the police.
