    • Synopsis
    • HERE is an intensely visual, landscape-obsessed road movie.
Will Shepard is a satellite-mapping engineer contracted to create a new survey of the country of Armenia. Within the industry, his work is referred to as "ground-truthing".
He's been doing it on his own, for years, all over the world.
In the course of his travels, Will meets Gadarine Najarian at a rural hotel. She's an Armenian expatriate and art photographer on her first trip back in ages, trying to figure out what kind of relationship - if any - she still has with her home country.
There is an instant, unconscious bond; the two lone travellers impulsively decide to continue together. They move through the country photographing, measuring, reacting to and experiencing the trip in their individual ways, and, ultimately, through each other's eyes.
Will is challenged with erroneous data as his trip descends toward failure, while Gadarine has more personal static to deal with: nationality, culture, family, old friends.
As she starts to find a new relationship to her homeland, Will begins to question the solitary life he has chosen.
      The two become deeply connected.
As their journey comes to an end, each must decide where to go from HERE.
