- Synopsis
- It is a long time since Hassan-Aga left home and went to war. His wife Zeina stayed at home with her two children and an old maidservant. She has a visit from her brother Murat Pintorovic, who complains that floods have taken away his land and asks his sister to give him money to buy a new, good piece of land being sold by Imotski Kadija. Zeina awaits Aga`s return very impatiently. She has visions at night. She got a message from Aga that he repudiated her. Zeina goes to live at her brother`s home. She is torn between her love for her husband and children and the memory of the unknown highwayman…Passing by Aga`s house, Zeina meets her children but Aga`s voice from a rock warns the children to run away from their mother whose heart is hard and made of stone.
