    • Ukon Gondo is a stubborn loner who dwells at the bottom of the social ladder in present day Japan. He has a weird job, digging tunnels looking for the Shogun's gold for a suspicious ultra-left nationalist. The only person he can relate to is his gentlehearted colleague, Ushiyama. They live earnestly but whatever they do tends to end up being outrageously silly, like when Ukon makes a frantic effort to get virgin Ushiyama laid. Ukon's brother Sakon, an elite trader, can't stand how untogether and unproductive Ukon and Ushiyama are.

Ukon and Ushiyama find a rusty old robot at an abandoned plant where Ushiyama lives. Tech savvy Sakon concludes that the robot, despite its old-fashioned appearance, is made with a technology far more advanced than anything that's available today. But Ukon and Ushiyama insist that the robot is their friend and should be kept from the public. As they form a strange relationship, the robot finds the gold with its super technology. Ukon also falls untimely in love with his boss's oversexed daughter. While she wants their relationship strictly sexual, he wants more. Will Ukon win her love? And will his scheme to gain fortune with the Shogun's gold work...?
