    • Synopsis
    • In April of 1592, Joseon is in crisis as its capital Hanyang falls to the Wae (foreign islands) army within only 15 days of their invasion. Having swiftly overtaken Joseon, the Wae army gathers their forces at Busanpo, vying to conquer Ming China.

      Meanwhile, despite Joseon’s repeated defeats as well as King Seonjo’s departure to Uiju by the northwest border, Admiral Yi Sun-shin (Park) makes tactical plans for a naval battle. However his warship, damaged in an earlier clash, will not be ready for deployment. Worse still, its repair plans have been stolen by a Wae spy.

      Confident after several victories, Wae ships set sail to Hansan Island where Admiral Yi lies in wait with battle plans that he hopes will reverse his country’s fate. July 8, 1592. Joseon hangs in balance as a momentous naval conflict unfolds.
