    • Nick and Ailsa moved to the country after an
      unimaginable tragedy: the death of their young
      daughter. But isolation has pulled them apart, and
      their marriage is on a slow plod to death.

      But this stagnant relationship is shaken when a
      teenage girl, Maxine, turns up soaking wet at their
      farmhouse one stormy night. Ailsa, desperate for a
      change, takes Maxine in, despite her murky past and
      the unlikely circumstances of her arrival.

      To Nick, Maxine is both a thrilling change of pace and
      also the ghost of their deceased daughter… but
      Maxine is also not who she seems to be, and it’s not
      long before the ruse goes up in flames, exposing
      Nick and Ailsa’s secrets, as well.
