    • Synopsis

    • Cheng Chih-Chung(Chung) moves with his hands. With a keen awareness of his surroundings and braces and crutches, he can walk up to 14 kilometers on foot.
Born over 50 years ago into a carpenter’s family in the suburbs of Taipei, he contracted polio at four. Left to find his own way, he grew up filled with unanswered questions. At 19, he encountered theater director Tian Chi-Yuan and stepped into the theater world, becoming a performer. This gave him an outlet for his emotions—until seven years later, when Tian Chi-Yuan passed away from AIDS, leaving Chung to navigate his journey alone once again.
This film interweaves Chung’s daily life, theater works, and archival performance footage, offering an intimate look at how he negotiates his identity and challenges societal perceptions. He searches for fleeting moments of truth and poses questions. Gradually, we witness the evolution of his body, emotions, and story.
