    • Caitlin Kramer is on the cusp of getting her shattered life back together after a car crash that wounded her and killed her father. But her newfound strength is tested when she, ad five bystanders, witness the savage beating of Douglas Helton in a city park. Frozen with fear, Caitlin reacts too late to save Douglas. Later, when questioned by the detective assigned to the case, Caitlin is wracked with regret, but the other witnesses try to justify their inaction. Caitlin's guilt is compounded when she and the other witnesses are outed to the press by Douglas's angry brother Lucas. Now, pariahs in the city, all of the witnesses face scorn and death threats. Things go from bad to worse when the witnesses start to die mysteriously. While the police suspect a killer is after them, Caitlin sees signs that lead her to believe they are facing supernatural retribution. As Caitlin searches for answers, her supportive boyfriend, Josh, and the other witnesses begin to worry that she's losing her grip on reality. Convinced the only way to make things right is to solve Douglas's murder, Caitlin starts down a dark and dangerous path. She must find the strength to confront a hostile public, the reluctant witnesses, a doubting boyfriend and a vengeful brother to uncover if they are being targeted by a human killer or something far more insidious. But the truth, when revealed, is more twisted than anything Caitlin, or the witnesses could have ever imagined.
