    • Synopsis
    • Clara, a woman from São Paulo’s suburbs, is hired by Ana as a nanny for her unborn child. Clara moves to Ana’s apartment in a middle-class neighbourhood. Their cold relationship slowly becomes affectionate, as Clara helps Ana through the insecurities and joys of a first pregnancy.
On a night with a full moon, Ana goes into labour. A claw rips her belly from inside out. Clara is confronted with the birth of a baby that doesn’t seem human: it has the features of a wolf. Despite her fear and because of her love for Ana, Clara doesn’t kill the monstrous baby. Instead, she takes the child to her house. When the sun rises, she sees that the baby has transformed to human form. Only during nights with a full moon does he become a werewolf. Clara names the boy Joel, and tries to raise him as best as she can.
