    • Synopsis
    • Gomorrah is a journey into the business and criminal world of the Camorra. In the Campania region, six stories unravel that touch the inside of the System, a term used by the affiliates to define the Camorra. Franco handles stocking up on one of the most precious goods: garbage. Romeo and Giuseppe are small independent bosses who move and talk as though right out of a De Palma film. Their “false” lives will lead them to a true death. Pikachu, Kit Kat, Pinguino and Showman are the nicknames of a gang of young boys who instead of playing with slingshots and peashooters, traffic in real weapons. Pasquale is an excellent tailor, yet he is forced to work, underpaid, in a basement, for important fashion designers. He will end up teaching his secrets to about fifty Chinese apprentices for a few thousand euros, that will nearly cost him his life. Don Ciro takes care of the economic protection of families who have one of their members in prison. Christian, age 18, is about to enter the System. He will have to break up with Serena to keep her out of harm’s way. But she won’t give up and tries to make him understand that he still has a choice. In a world where all that counts are goods and violence, it seems impossible that the enthusiasm of youth can really save a life.
