- Synopsis
- October 6, 1973. On this holy Israeli day of Yom Kippur, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan launch a joint surprise attack in the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights. Caught off guard, Prime Minister Golda Meir (Helen Mirren), Israel's 'Iron Lady,' must fend off this imminent danger. Hindered by her all-male cabinet members, it is up to Golda to resolve this urgent situation. In this race against time, the lives of millions of civilians are at stake on both sides of the battle.
