    • Synopsis
    • 82-year-old Emilia is sitting quietly in her bed in the kitchen built by her son Ruslan, shaking slightly with the
tremors of progressing Parkinsons decease. Keeping her company in the room are the small television, the cat
Ginger, the phone and occasionally Tsura- the woman who takes care of her.
A seemingly boring existence in seemingly boring scenery. But sometimes Emilia talks. She talks about the past.
As she tells us her story our minds wander among the images of human existence, among portraits of suffering and
loneliness, of carefree childhood or utter loss. "God overestimated me" is the story of a woman who has lost
everyone and everything she has ever loved but hasn't lost herself. It is a story about courage and fear, about
suffering and how we can deal with it. Emilia's words make us ask ourselves: Can we forget? Can we forgive?
Can we love even when everything dear to us has been stripped away?
