- Synopsis
- LIAM is a timid boy who is worried about moving to a new town and house with his single mom, CATHERINE. Liam will have to start a new school and make new friends. Catherine tells him he can make tons of new pals, if he tries.
  They are moving into Great Aunt Sylvia's eclectic old house. She was a kind, awesome, artistic soul who decorated everything. Catherine sees great new possibilities, but to Liam, everything just looks weird and a bit intimidating.
  Liam starts to notice odd things happening, Candy gets opened. Wrappers are on the floor. Was that lawn gnome smirking at him?
  At the same time, the suave handsome real estate developer who lives next door, TOM ROLL, leads the nosy neighbour brigade to come over and introduce themselves to Catherine. Tom and Catherine hit it off, and gradually, their friendship will deepen into a flirtation in the story.
  Liam hears creaky noises at night and ventures with trepidation to investigate. Liam finds out the lawn gnomes are real! Our turn into Act 2 comes as Liam starts to bond with these crazy gnomes. The group is bursting with hilarious personality, and they get into fun trouble.
  Catherine assumes that Liam is acting out and doing crazy things. Catherine is being taken-in by Tom and his seemingly perfectly son, Dirk. Felling threatened that his mom is being romanced, Liam doesn't like Tom or Dirk. The gnomes set about playing hilarious pranks on Tom and Dirk, and Catherine blames Liam.
  The story will twist toward action and adventure when something attacks the gnomes at night! The wise old gnome believes there is a troll on the loose! Trolls are like grizzly bears, seemingly extinct but suddenly moving back into the area.
  Liam must help the gnomes in their mission to find out which of the neighbours is actually a troll. Liam will call on his skills making remote controlled helicopters and the like, to help the gnomes spy on the neighbours. More crazy misadventures ensue, creating addition conflict with Catherine.
  Almost too late, Liam and gnomes figure out that Tom and Dirk are the trolls!
  They want to eat our gnomes and get the house. Sylvia would never sell, but Tom is sure Catherine will sell once Liam goes crazy after watching his friends the gnomes get eaten. And Tom knows, no one will believe Liam's story. Now the gnomes can either abandon the house, or fight to save it. Liam has seen the value of this funny group, his first really group of friends. Finally he must become their leader in an all-out "Alamo" defence to save the home they love.
