- GINGERBREAD is Hansel & Gretel in a modern, urban setting. A weak and feckless father is more concerned with his new girlfriend than his two kids. So his feisty teenage daughter and her younger brother are abandoned, loose in the city at night.
  This is a story about the dark underbelly of modern Britain where the sexualisation of children is big business and the commodification of sex is at the core of the culture.
  Heartfelt and funny, but ultimately tragic.
