    • In the middle of surrounding war-torn
      regions, Hpakant is the hub of the jade
      industry with a multi-billion dollar business
      in northern Myanmar. Sun (17) and his
      two teenage friends risk their lives as
      illegal jade miners scavenging the waste
      piles of mining companies. They fight for
      survival with the dream of becoming a
      jade laoban (the Chinese term of “Boss”)
      one day. They set out on a journey to a
      China border city to smuggle a million
      dollar jade stone, leaving Sun’s girlfriend
      Moon (18) in Hpakant alone with all the
      debts. Is getting rich what they really want?
