- Synopsis
- Vilma, a 25-year-old peasant woman, is sexually attacked by a stranger in a remote community in Nicaragua. Unable to assimilate it, she tries to cope with it in silence. She stops eating, sleeps all day and refuses to breastfeed her baby. Her husband calls the top authority of the community for help. Jeremiah, an evangelical pastor, diagnoses that Vilma has been possessed by the devil and that she must be subjected to a seven-day ritual to free her body and spirit. During these time Vilma will understand that she was doomed to be the embodiment of evil long before she was attacked by that stranger.
