Synopsis
The project is based on a theatrical piece about Federico García Lorca, starring Carmelo Gómez. A road movie that seeks to reveal a vision of the poet through the feeling of life, love, and poetic pleasure. According to this interpretation, it seems that Lorca's work fully grasped his destiny, his fears, his joys, and his aspirations, as reflected in the written words left by the immeasurable poet known as Federico.
The documentary showcases and documents landscapes from the road, theaters, and buildings in the places the troupe passes through during their tour, reminiscent of La Barraca, and the tour is also marked by the pandemic. It explores how the theater was made and understood, and how the audience experienced it, accompanied by music and the voice of Carmelo Gómez. The pedagogical element, present in every documentary, could not be left out: the keys to entering the poet's imagery through interviews with participants in the play and intellectuals familiar with Federico's world. Fictional sequences are added to illustrate the verses that are interspersed. These are surrealist images closely linked to nature, representing that principle of life that the Granada-born Federico García Lorca so vividly displayed.
