- Synopsis
- Franco is part of a very small family, but with big traditions.
  Being the only child, he has a very close bond with his father, Juan Franco. They both work as pharmacists in the pharmacy founded by the recently deceased grandfather also named Franco, located in the front of the family house.
  
  As a reward to Franco for receiving a diploma in business management, Juan gives him the country house that belonged to his grandfather, so that he can settle there and raise his family, advocating for the continuity of traditions. The plan includes his foreign girlfriend, Marina.
  
  The house is neglected. Father and son prepare it so that it will also be the place of celebration for the pharmacy's fiftieth anniversary, a date from which Franco will be fully responsible for the business until the arrival of the next little Franco.
  
  Franco feels guilty for hiding information from his father and suffers episodes of anxiety. One day he reveals his plans to have a vasectomy, causing an ideological conflict regarding paternity, and generating a distance between them, with Juan threatening him with a definitive break in the relationship if Franco carries out his surgery.
  
  These men enter a crisis of analysis of the future.
  Feeling like he never chose anything in his life, Franco decides to have his vasectomy, and secretly the idea of a change grows in him, he needs to get away from the family to find himself.
  Juan does not understand his son and it hurts him that under “his guard” certain values and customs are lost. But he has no choice but to reluctantly accept and focus on the present, work and routine.
  
  The anniversary celebration brings together around thirty family and friends. During dinner, Juan emphasizes in a speech the importance of the pharmacy and the family. Franco receives the position of head of the business without enthusiasm.
  Before sunrise, while they clean up the remains of the party, Juan criticizes his son for his lack of empathy, and he reveals his dissatisfaction with the profession and his desire to leave the pharmacy to seek new horizons. The conversation ends in a strong argument in which both come out hurt. Juan feels betrayed.
  
  Juan, because of his “masculine pride,” finds it difficult to recognize his mistakes and demonstrate the need for his son to stay by his side, and Franco wants his father to understand and support him, but it is impossible to find a middle ground in the situation.
  
  Franco and Marina decide to start a new chapter and move to Marina's country of origin.
  Juan breaks down in tears when he sees his son's car leaving for another country; he can no longer contain and hide his emotions.
  
  On a sunset facing the sea, Franco looking at the horizon understands the price he paid for pursuing his own path and is aware of the consequences, but he stands by his decisions.
