- Synopsis
- The film explores the potential double standards employed by the West when addressing major sporting events, particularly the World Cup, hosted by developing countries. The film examines this hypothesis through the lens of Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 World Cup, featuring the perspectives of global figures divided on the issue, and raises the question of whether Saudi Arabia will face a similar experience when it hosts the World Cup in 2034. By presenting various stories from different sports events and comparing them to Qatar’s experience, the film critically analyzes how the media, politicians, human rights organizations, and other entities have reacted and handled these situations.
