    • Synopsis
    • Fidel is a boy who lives in the heart of Monte de Puerto Libertad Argentina, in the province of Misiones, Argentina. At only 12 years old, he works as a farmhand and competes in races with his horse, El Che. Fidel aims to triumph in these races and help his mother, who lives in the interior of Paraguay, with the earnings.

However,. El Che suffers an accident that brings him near death and Fidel, with very little resources, attempts to heal him. He must either wait for his faithful companion to recover or race with another horse. While awaiting the fate of his ragged steed, he rides Lunita de Libertad, proudly donning his talisman, a number 10 Diego Maradona jersey, which kindles the support of his fellow campesinos. In a display of epic humanness, this small but exceptional horseman rides his way to the improvised turf field built on the land claimed by Alto Paraná S. A., the multinational company which owns 10% of the territory in Misiones and is in constant conflict with the campesinos. As Fidel mounts the nag of his dreams, the borderlines are blurred by the sound of the Sapucai shout that nobly exalts his Guaraní blood. His battle cry is none other than “a shout of freedom which causes the lungs to swell up with pride as they dare to be be silenced, plead rhythm, and demand justice for what they feel is unconscionable”.
