A strong fever takes Nino to another world, entering a painting from which he can only escape by entering another image. This way, Nino will move from animation to film and drawing to myth, trying to return home in an amazing journey of growth.

    • Synopsis
    • A sudden fever takes Nino to another world inside a painting. His mother warned him of the danger of the trick, but he wasn’t feeling well. The mysterious oil painting is terrifying. It’s painter -also locked in that world- wants to get rid of the child as soon as possible, enclosing him in a pictorial “City of the child”, from which he can only escape introducing himself into an italian movie. There, things don't get any better, the universe is in full air war. Thanks to the help of one of the italian girls, the mute and charming Dina, Nino and the rest of the kids flee, entering into a drawing that they had made on sand. That desertic universe is tiring. Nino falls exhausted and dreams that he returns home where he thinks he finds his mom. When he wakes up, frustrated, he breaks in tears. Dina looks for something in her pockets: remembers that she keeps the cutting of a newspaper with a picture of an ideal family. They don’t hesitate and enter into this new world. After a strange family dinner, Nino and Dina escape through the cover of a matchbox.

      The incantation works once again, taking them to a peculiar polynesian island. There, the friendly tribe celebrates finally the end of their terrenal life. They say that the prophecy of the wise will come true and when the volcano explodes and it’ll take them to a “better place”. Nino isn’t consoled and again must look for a way to escape, but there isn’t a single image to be found in the whole island. The children of the tribe become friends with them and Dina even finds a substitute mother. The end is near. Nino is alone but feels stronger than ever and it is that concentration and force that allows him to enter into the narration of the wise. Nino in the volcano's jaw is able to face the total heat and beat it. Everything goes black. When we are back, Nino is now an adult, his growth is literal. His little son begins showing fever symptoms, it seems that the story will repeat.
