- Synopsis
- Christmas advertisements show a benevolent Santa, whose only vise is cookies and milk. This is NOT our Kris Kringle. For the past two hundred years, CHRIS (Gibson) and his wife, RUTH, have secluded themselves, away from media attention. Unfortunately, the rising number of naughty children has caused Santa’s government subsidy to be slashed, leaving him, his factory, and workers burdened by a financial crisis. He works sixteen-hour days, drives a battered truck, and drinks bourbon straight from the bottle. Yes, technically he’s a saint, but this Santa is still very much a man.
  BILLY is a precocious nine year old being raised on the toxic combination of wealth and neglect. With an absentee father and a bedridden grandmother, this over-privileged miscreant has his every want and desire fulfilled by servants. When Chris punishes Billy’s bad behavior with coal, Billy unleashes a sociopathic killer upon him. This hitman, referred to as SKINNY MAN (Goggins), has abandoned society’s moral conscience and sees no advantage in playing by its rules. Chris and Ruth are obsolete and out of touch, relying on a time when hard work and strong moral values were the recipe for success. Billy and the Skinny Man are their contemporary, ruthless competitors and have no problem lying, cheating, and even killing to get what they want. When these worlds collide, there will be a reckoning.
