    • Synopsis
    • A catastrophic disaster has robbed Shirou Emiya of all his family and worldly possessions. Under the custody of a mysterious sorcerer, he finds himself ten years later training to become a sorcerer himself, motivated by a single-minded desire to “serve on the side of justice” and thereby fulfill the ambition of his deceased foster father. While still having only one magical skill, Shirou finds himself not only caught up in an epic “holy war” between Master Sorcerers, but paired with a so-called “Servant” under contract to him named Saber, a tough heroine sorceress dedicated to protecting him. Shirou becomes the reluctant master sorcerer. But when he discovers that the disaster that struck down his family a decade ago was part of the “holy war,” Shirou resolves to throw himself into the fray in the hopes of preventing such a tragedy from ever occurring again.
