    • Synopsis

    • Nitesh's father has made a decision. It will not only change the rest of his life, but also that of his children - forever. After having spent thirty-nine years in Denmark, he wants to give up his Danish residence permit and move back to India to start a new life where his old one should have taken off. And once this is done, he cannot change his mind.

      Nitesh has made his film in order to understand his mysterious and taciturn father's definitive decision. And as the film progresses, an increasingly complex and dramatic picture emerges of a life, that did not go according to plan.

      "Far from Home" is a personal story about dislocation, addiction and the fragile, but through it all strong, bond between father and son.
