- Synopsis
- RIANTI quarrels with her father over her relationship with AJIE, her boyfriend, making her leave home. And when she needs Ajie the most, she also discovers her boyfriend cheating. Heartbroken and destitute she goes to find Guru Samir, a famous holy man. At Guru Samir’s living compound she discovers plenty of questionable practices, including the promise of cleansing one’s sin and the guarantee of entering heaven by purchasing a certificate. Not to mention some strange rituals where he sees Guru Samir try to seduce a girl in a warehouse that they often refer to as the meditation house. Rianti’s mother asks Ajie to go after Rianti. There, Ajie becomes suspicious as to Guru Samir practice false teachings. To prove his innocence, Guru Samir challenges people to sever his hand. If his hand can become whole again, that means he is holy and he has the same authority as prophets who can work miracles. And sure enough, his hand is whole again after being severed. Many of his followers, including Rianti, are now convinced that Guru Samir is truly a holy man, meanwhile Ajie still believe that Guru Samir is a false prophet that teaches false teachings.
