    • Synopsis
    • The documentary Fala Tu tells the life stories of three little-known rappers from the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro.
The film captures how rap has affected their lives and how their own experiences have shaped the way they write and sing. Fala Tu accompanies these three characters across Rio; in their workplace, into makeshift studios, pirate radio stations, religious ceremonies, family gatherings, and most importantly, into their own homes.
The daily routines and unexpected dramas captured during production comprise the greater part of the film while rap has an equally important but smaller role.
Fala Tu has been shot over a period of nine months in 2002 and 2003 and is a co-production of Matizar Filmes and VideoFilmes.
